Celebrating the Attendance Awareness Campaign’s 10th Anniversary!

Launching Attendance Awareness Campaign 2022!

Attendance Awareness Campaign 2022 marks 10 years of promoting the importance of regular attendance and engaging schools, district, states and other partners in supporting solutions to reducing chronic absence (broadly defined as missing too much school).

When we launched the campaign in 2013, we had fewer than 35 national partners. Today we have more than 100 national and state-level partners working together. Some, such as MENTOR offer programs that connect students and adults in relationships that are key to improving engagement and learning in school. Others, such as the Institute for Educational Leadership, focus on community schools and family engagement, and the Healthy Schools Campaign works to ensure students an opportunity to eat healthy food, be physically active and learn in a healthy environment. Learn more about our partners here.

This year we’re asking everyone to Stay Connected, Keep Learning! You’ll see us highlighting the urgent need to build relationships, repair and rebuild trust, better engage youth and families and strengthen family-school community partnerships.

Our free, 4-part webinar series offers proven approaches from across the country. Speakers will emphasize the enormous power of using chronic absence data to recover from challenges exacerbated by the pandemic. Each webinar will happen on a Wednesday, from 12pm-1:30pm PT / 3pm–4:30pm ET. Register for all four webinars here!
